The Gwynne Pugh Urban Studio Team completed a renovation of the lobby and boardroom for the Los Angeles County Office of Education.

The workspace is the face of the Los Angeles County Educational system and a high traffic area. The lobby and boardroom required a complete makeover. Corridors in the hallway were widened and unnecessary walls were removed. LED lighting, an LED lit desk, new floor treatments, and furniture were added to create a warm and welcoming feeling.

The new bright and open space reflects LACOE’s colorful mission to provide educational programs and services to all residents in our richly diverse and multicultural global environment.

Work included complete renovation of the main lobby, upgrades to the bathrooms and break room, and lighting review and recommendations, replacement of curtains with shading system, and refurbishment of wood paneling to the County’s board room.
