Capital One Santa Monica, CA

Located in the heart of downtown Santa Monica - just a block away from the Urban Studio-designed hotels - this project seamlessly blends a modern design into the existing streetscape.

As part of Capital One’s new concept in banking, the 7,500 sq. ft. building at 4th and Broadway serves as a third place, housing a ground-floor café along with mobile tellers, while the second floor

contains communal office space. The exterior is largely transparent, providing an open and pedestrian-friendly street-level entrance. Partially screened louvers continue the feeling of transparency on the side of the building, while also providing shade. White glazed brick tiles will reflect sunlight and keep the area bright, in addition to adding texture.
