Multi Service Center Long Beach, CA

TENANT IMPROVEMENTS / PUBLIC WORKS

This project involves tenant improvements and an addition to be made to an existing multiservice center in Long Beach, California.

The original task involved reorganizing the circulation system entirely in order to accommodate and constrain pedestrian flow and create strategic access for security purposes. The homeless services center structure is to be enlarged to also include a preschool, childcare facilities, and space for service agencies. Though housed in an industrial neighborhood, it is nonetheless

important for the homeless center to effectively provide services without creating a great impact on its surroundings which involve relocating the primary entrance to the rear and incorporating outdoor park space to service the clientele. This project is ongoing and the programming is currently being refined through the conceptual design process.
